Philippine Airlines- known as "Asia's First Airline", PAL is the country's national flag carrier. For over 60 years, PAL has served as an integral part of Philippine life, history and development.
Founded on February 26, 1941, PAL has survived a turbulent history marked by cycles of prosperity and recession. After a brief closure in 1998, PAL resumed operations in October 1999. Today, it has total of 32 aircraft that serve 44 online destinations - 19 domestic and 25 international points in 12 countries. Air Philippines- is one of the fastest growing carriers in the country. A publicly- listed company, MacroAsia provides catering, ground handling and engineering and maintenance services to its sister companies and more than 20 international airlines landing in the Philippines. Philippine National Bank – Formed in 1916, PNB is the fourth largest private local universal bank in the Philippines. Its main thrust is the promotion and development of small and medium agri-based enterprises. Pan Asia Securities- is the stock brokerage firm of the Lucio C. Tan Group of Companies. Himmel Industries Inc. – a chemical trading firm, Himmel Industries is located in Barrio Santolan, Pasig City. Established in November 18, 1960, Himmel gave Mr. Lucio Tan his first taste of corporate success. The company supplies major ingredients in the food, pharmaceutical, tobacco, beer, paint, ink, textile, cosmetics, paper, glue, plastic, rubber, PVC and cement industries.

Although Himmel started small, it ventured into the trading of chemicals such as refined glycerin, sorbitol, industrial honey, menthol and flavoring compounds. It now counts among its growing clientele giant pharmaceutical companies, cigarette factories, printing firms and processed- food manufacturers



Foremost Farms Inc. – is one of Southeast Asia’s largest and most modern hog-raising facilities. Established in 1970, Foremost has a 146- hectare facility in Barangay Pinugay, Tanay, Rizal with an average daily production of nearly 50 metric tons of hogs for the domestic market. It also has a feed mill in Pasig City with a rated capacity of over 30 tons per hour.

As the acclaimed trendsetter in the feed and livestock industry, Foremost continues to explore new techniques and invest in state-of-the-art equipment to produce quality products at optimum cost.



Lotte Philippines – is company engaged in the manufacturer and/or importation of quality biscuits, chocolates, chewing gum and other confectioneries. It was formed in 1995 as a partnership with Lotte Japan. The company is based in Pasig City.



Asia Brewery, Inc., - Established in 1982, Asia Brewery is the second largest brewer and bottled water maker in the Philippines. The Asia Brewery complex is located in a 320-hectare property in Cabuyao, Laguna, 45 kilometers south of Manila. It is designed to process an annual production capacity of 4 million hectoliters of beer. Together with the brewery, the Cabuyao complex houses other plants to complement the brewing operations: a fully automated glass plant; a plastic crate manufacturing plant; a corrugated carton plant; a power generating plant; waste water treatment plant; and various warehousing and transportation facilities. Its best-selling products include: Beer na Beer, Colt 45, Calsberg, Lone Star (Light and Ultra), Manila Beer, Absolute Distilled Water and Summit Natural Drinking Water.

Tanduay Distillers, Inc. – Maker of world- renowned Tanduay Rhum, Tanduay Distillers is the country’s best bet towards global market leadership. For over 150 years, the company dominates the colored liquor segment in the Philippines and a close second in the global ranking of quality rhum. Tanduay started operations in 1854 in a compound off the banks of the Pasig River. In 1988, Twin Ace Holdings Corporation, owned and managed by the Lucio Tan Group of Companies, acquired Tanduay from the Elizalde family. The new management launched a plant modernization and expansion program that increased that distillery’s production capacity by 50 times.


Landcom Realty Corporation – the real estate arm of the Lucio C. Tan Group of Companies, Landcom manages most, if not all, of the group’s buildings and other acquired assets.



Grandspan Development Corp. – Established in 1979, Grandspan Development Corp. is an internationally-recognized steel fabrication company. It produces structural steel beams, trusses, conveyors, special tanks and vessels, as well as steel trailers and asbestos-reinforced cement sheets. Located in a 35-hectare compound in Barrio Tagpos, Binangonan, Rizal, Grandspan’s steel plant produces 1,800 metric tons of fabricated steel structures per month. Aside from major Philippine projects like the steel tracks of the Metro Rail Transit, steel bridges, boiler structures of power plants and large storage tanks, Grandspan also bagged major steel fabrication projects in China, Hong Kong, India and Singapore.

The first Fortune plant was a small building cramped with second hand machines atop a hill in Barrio Parang Marikina. The first structure was a hut made of old scrap lumber and used GI sheets.

University of the East – Established on September 5, 1946, the University of the East is one of the greatest success stories in the field of education. From a decaying, debt-laden institution in the late ‘80s, it has been transformed into one of the most modern and financially stable universities in the Philippines. Acquired by Dr. Lucio Tan in 1990, UE currently has two campuses, one in Manila and the other in Caloocan. The UE Manila campus has eight colleges, while the Caloocan campus has five.






Tan Yan Kee Foundation, Inc. – The main philanthropic arm of the Lucio C. Tan Group of Companies, the Tan Yan Kee Foundation, Inc. was established in 1986. The Foundation’s principal thrusts are education, culture and sports; research; health and social welfare; and manpower development. Foundation for Upgrading the Standard of Education, Inc. – Founded by Dr. Lucio C. Tan on December 1, 1994, FUSE seeks to improve the skills in English, Science and Mathematics teachers. Its programs include regular teacher training workshops; a post-graduate scholarship program for Science and Engineering teachers; production and distribution of telecourses in English, Elementary Science, Chemistry, Physics and Math; and a host of other educational programs in partnership with government and private learning institutions.
